Battleship and What to Expect When You’re Expecting Flop At Box Office! The Avengers Dominates Again!

Unfortunately for up and coming actress Brooklyn Decker, Battleship wasn’t her only movie to flop at the box office this weekend.

Also falling way below expectations was the star studded What to Expect When You’re Expecting comedy — staring Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, and Elizabeth Banks,  which came in 5th this weekend, bringing in a very disappointing $10.3 million.

In first place for the third week in a row was The Avengers action movie with $55 million, bringing it’s three week total domestically to a staggering $450 million since its May 4 release!

Battleship, which cost over $200 million to make and also stars Rihanna, debuted in second place with $25.3 million. Sacha Baron Cohen‘s The Dictator earned $24 million in its opening weekend, coming in third place.

Johnny Depp‘s Dark Shadows earned $12.5 million in its second weekend.
