Chris Brown Spends Time With Rihanna & Her Family; Might Be Getting Back Together

Despite the past physical abuse and being verbally dissed in a recent song, it seems low self-esteem having pop star Rihanna just can’t get enough of her ex Chris Brown.

The NY Post is reporting today that the two have been spending more and more time together in private… sans Chris’ doormat girlfriend Karrueche Tran.

Chris apparently joined Rihanna and her family members including her grandfather, Lionel Brathwaite, at Jay-Z’s 40/40 club on June 9 to watch the Miami Heat play the Boston Celtics.

“Rihanna arrived first in a yellow cab, with her family and friends, and was escorted to a private room. Brown arrived a little later and joined her and her family. They sat on the same couch together rooting for the Heat. There was no sign of his girlfriend,” a source told Page Six. Wowzers.

And that wasn’t the first time the couple have been spotted together in recent days.  The two were also spotted at Manhattan nightclub SL over the weekend where Chris sent over $2,200 worth of champagne to Riri’s table.

“Everyone in the business assumes she and Chris are getting back together, and it is only a matter of time before they’ll be more public about it,” a source reveals. “It’s like she is testing the water — first they work on music together, then they hang out in a friendly way, so the public won’t be completely shocked when they step out together publicly.”

In addition to many fans, Rihanna’s management is also deeply concerned about her possibly reuniting with Chris. “There is also a tug of war at Roc Nation over the final say on what she is doing. But everyone agrees they can’t control Rihanna and can’t stop her seeing Chris, no matter how much they fear the negative public reaction will be. It means she probably won’t release another album this year, for fear of a backlash.”

Must say this is very sad on so many levels. I don’t know who is more pathetic, Rihanna for going back to Chris, or his doormat girlfriend who allows him to publicly humiliate her.
