Robert Pattinson’s Career Is In Trouble; Jealous of Kristen’s Success

According to a new report, Robert Pattinson’s career is currently in trouble.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Rob’s last two movies — Bel Ami and Cosmopolis — have flopped, and his new nickname is now RIP-Patz. Ouch! Following the last two flops of the Twilight star, Hollywood bigwigs are now worried about his ability to be a leading man and carry a big movie.

“In the UK, Bel Ami underperformed but in America, it’s been a commercial catastrophe,” an Hollywood source reveals. “‘Magnolia Pictures simultaneously released it on Video on Demand but they were hopeful that the film would take off in big cities and get a nationwide cinema release. Yet it has made just over $72,000 which is staggeringly low, little more than one screen’s average for the Twilight movies.”

His other movie Cosmopolis didn’t fare better, failing to make the top ten in the UK.

The insider continues, “Hollywood is taking notice that outside the Twilight movies, Pattinson has the bankability of Greece. Breaking Dawn: Part 2 will be huge when it is released in November, but outside Twilight, it’s just not happening for Robert. Pattinson is finding out that LA can be a cruel town. Increasingly Rob is being referred to as RIP-Patz instead of his nickname R-Patz!”

Even worse, the latest issue of the National Enquirer is also reporting that Rob, 26, is becoming increasingly jealous of the success of his girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, 22. Kristen’s post Twilight movies have done very well.

“Rob is stewing over her post-Twilight breakout success, while he’s struggling to find his footing,” revealed an insider. “His latest movies – Water for Elephants, Bel Ami, and Remember Me — have all been critical and commercial duds. Meanwhile, Kristen’s latest, ‘Snow White & the Huntsman,‘ is doing big business, and she’s being flooded with work offers.”

To make matters worse, Rob is demanding his girlfriend cut back on work to spend more time nurturing their relationship, while “Kristen thinks Rob is behaving like a sulking baby.”

“Their career rivalry is driving a serious wedge between them,” said the insider. “They’re headed in opposite directions.”
