Jessica Simpson Says Weight Watchers Hasn’t Pressured Her to Lose Weight
Since giving birth to her first child two months ago, Jessica Simpson has been in the headlines a lot all due to her weight.
Jessica, who gained a reported 70 pounds during her pregnancy, signed a $4 million deal with Weight Watchers to shed the baby weight and become their spokesperson. That bad news?
She is now reportedly under a lot of pressure to lose the weight, with the most recent report claiming she only had 5 months to lose 50 pounds. If true, which I believe it is, this isn’t exactly great press for Weight Watchers as they don’t want their company to be known as one that’s forcing a new mom to quickly lose weight.
Here’s where Jessica, 31, comes in as she took to her twitter page this week to deny the weight loss company is pressuring her.
“Just so everyone knows…Weight Watchers hasn’t put ANY pressure on me! I’m trying to be as healthy as I can be for myself and I feel great!” she tweeted.
In Weight Watchers defense, I don’t really see them as a villain at all as they simply want a return on their investment. $4 million is a lot of money, Jessica has signed a contract and they need to see RESULTS! I see this more as greed on Jessica’s end as quite frankly she is filthy rich and doesn’t need this money or endorsement.
