As it’s been widely reported, Janet Jackson, 46, was shockingly a part of the plan hatched by some of the not-so-genius Jackson family members (Randy, Jermaine, and Rebbie Jackson) to not only contest the will left by the late Michael Jackson, but to also overthrow those in control of the estate. The claim is that the will, which leaves everything to his mother Katherine Jackson, his kids, and charity, is fraudulent.

This led to the siblings allegedly “kidnapping” their mom Katherine for over 10 days by taking her to a spa in Arizona and not allowing her to speak to Michael’s three kids — Paris, Prince and Blanket — whom she has guardianship over.

The general belief is that Randy and Jermaine came up with this plan as a means to “prove Katherine unfit so they could take over,” says an insider to Us Weekly. “It’s all greed.”

Indeed a report by Radar Online states Randy Jackson actually owes over $500,000 in back child support.  Even worse, Randy and brother Jermaine Jackson have reportedly asked Michael’s estate to pay off their child support debt in the past. Yikes. Randy had claimed money was not a factor in his motive to challenge Michael’s estate and will but owing over half a million in child support alone obviously puts his motives into question.

The question now is why would Janet align herself with the money grubbers when she is reportedly very rich and worth over $150 million.

Well according to sources, Janet might be having money troubles of her own. “She has spent far more than she has made, so she needs the money,” says a source though Janet’s reps deny the claims.

Another theory is that Janet wants the will overturned so her greedy siblings will get paid and stop hitting her up for money.

And when it comes to Katherine, she is now backtracking from her previous claims that she simply needed some peace and quiet, hence her reason for being at a spa in Arizona.

In court documents uncovered by TMZ, Katherine, 82, is singing a different tune by strongly implying that her kids kidnapped her & tricked her into deserting her grand kids.

Katherine states she was scheduled to go on a road trip to New Mexico to watch her sons in concert, but an unnamed doctor showed up on July 14th, and told her to take a place instead. She obliged but found herself in Tucson, AZ where she had reservations at a luxury resort.

Katherine adds that her phone and iPad were taken away, in addition to her in-room telephone being disconnected and her TV shut off. She was reportedly told her grandkids were “fine” when she asked about them and had no idea they had reported her missing.

Katherine says, “At the time, I trusted the people I was with to be honest with me.”

The good news is that Katherine has now regained custody of Michael’s kids as the courts approved her to have a split guardianship with TJ Jackson. The two will share responsibilities as co-guardian. Sources claim TJ was already a big factor in helping Katherine care for the kids for the last few years.
