Lady Gaga Slams PETA! Calls them “Violent” and “Abusive”

Finally, a celebrity is publicly calling out PETA for their bully tactics!

And that celeb is none other than Lady Gaga, who is firing back at PETA after the animal rights organization slammed her for wearing a number of fur coats in recent weeks. PETA is apparently upset because according to them, Gaga, 26, had previously stated that she would never wear fur.

In an open letter to the Gaga, PETA suggested the pop star was a “turncoat” for going back on her views.  “These recent photos of you in fox and rabbit and with a wolf carcass make it appear that you have amnesia,” wrote VP Dan Matthews.  “What happened? Are your stylists telling you that it’s fake, or are you a turncoat?”

In a post on her website LittleMonsters.com, Gaga fired back at PETA.

First she stated: “I want you to know that I care deeply about your feelings and views, and I will always support your philosophies about life… I do not however support violent, abusive, and childish campaigns for ANY CAUSE.”

She continued: “Particularly one that I respect. ‘Animal Rights.’ I am choosing not to comment on whether or not the furs I purchase are faux fur-pile or real because I would think it hypocritical not to acknowledge the python, ostrich, cow hide, leather, lamb, alligator, ‘kermit’ and not to mention meat, that I have already worn.”

Gaga then saved the last for PETA, stating: “I respect your views, please respect mine. And to campaigners, Save your flour to make bread for the children who are hungry.”

Well said! While I find nothing wrong with PETA’s cause and beliefs, I do find it extremely disgusting and rather hypocritical that some members find violence against humans, in the form of flour bombs and paint throwing, completely appropriate.
