Is Miley Cyrus On Drugs? Family & Friends Planning an “Intervention” for Her

With the whispers getting louder and louder that she is headed for a Britney Spears style breakdown, a new report is now stating Miley Cyrus’ closest family and friends are planning to stage an intervention for her.

According to the latest issue of Star Magazine, Miley’s loved ones, including her fiance Liam Hemsworth, are starting to get seriously worried about her behavior which has been quickly spiraling out of control lately.

“Miley’s come a completely different person – her new look and change in mentality make her almost unrecognizable to those who know her best,” says a friend. “Everyone is scared that she could be the next Hollywood casualty.”

Indeed, in the past few months alone, Miley, 19, has made headlines for all the wrong reasons – such as her excessive weight loss, being photographed with cuts on her arm, getting more tattoos, smoking cigarettes, and of course showing off her different body parts in very revealing outfits.

“The family has actually been talking about an intervention for a while, but the haircut was the icing on the cake,” says the friend. “The only conclusion they can come to for her erratic behavior is that she’s on drugs. They don’t know for sure, but they’re definitely worried that’s the case.”

And just early this month, the former Disney starlet tweeted a photo of herself with her new do, surrounded by garbage in her Los Angeles home.

“When Liam saw how trashed his house looked in the photo Miley posted, he was mortified,” the friend says. “Also, he acted like he was OK with her cutting her hair, but he actually freaked out. He’s trying to be sweet and supportive only to prevent anything tragic from happening.”

The source adds that everyone is now waiting for Liam, 22, to get back from filming Paranoia in Philadelphia before intervening.

Yikes. As we have reported, there have been several blind items implying that Miley might have been recently diagnosed with the Bipolar disorder. And if it isn’t Bipolar, then I would have to suspect drugs as something is definitely off with Miley lately.
