Christina Hendricks Says It’s Rude To Be Called “Full Figured”!
Curvaceous Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks does not appreciate being called “full figured”.
Hendricks, 37, was recently interviewed by Kate Waterhouse from Sydney’s Sun Herald. During the interview Waterhouse asked Christina a question that Hendricks was clearly not ready for:
“You have been an inspiration as a full-figured woman,” said Waterhouse. “What is the most inspiring story that you can remember where you’ve inspired someone?”
Hendricks then became flustered (and looked a bit pissed off) and replied; “Um, I don’t know…I’m sorry.” The actress then glanced at someone who may have been her publicist who asked Waterhouse to rephrase the question.
And either Waterhouse went deaf all of a sudden or just didn’t care because she proceeded to begin to ask the SAME exact question.
“You’ve been known as an inspiration for women as being a full-figure…,” she began before an incredulous, and full figured, Hendricks shut her down by saying, “I mean, you just said it again.”
Waterhouse was then shut down by the maybe publicist and was forced to drop the question entirely.
To Christina’s credit she did finish out the interview before heading backstage where she was reported to have said: “I think calling me full-figured is just rude.”
I think there are worst things to be called, but okay then.
TELL US- DO YOU THINK CHRISTINA WAS RIGHT TO BE OFFENDED?
