Alex Cross Flops! Paranormal Activity 4 Is No. 1 at Box Office!

Paranormal Activity 4 debuted at number one this weekend scaring up $30.2 million.  However, it didn’t touch Paranormal Activity 3‘s October 2011 opening at $52.6 million. Pretty darn impressive for a movie that only had a $5 million budget.

Ben Affleck’s thriller, Argo, came in second place earning itself decent box office sales at $16.63 million, while Hotel Transylvania still hung on earning $13.5 million, just above, Liam Neeson‘s Taken 2 at $13.4 million.

Tyler Perry’s, was pretty much a flop coming in at number five after earning a mere $11.75 million. Pretty low numbers when you consider the movie had a $35 million budget. It appears people are most comfortable watching Tyler… in drag!

The Box Office top 5 chart is below with the total domestic gross to date in brackets.

1)  Paranormal Activity 4 – $52.6 million

2)  Argo - $16.63 Million ($43.2 million)

3)  Hotel Transylvania – $13.5 million ($187.3 million)

4)  Taken 2 - $13.4 million – ($280.4 million)

5)  Alex Cross – $11.75 million
