PHOTOS – David Petraeus Had An Affair With Paula Broadwell

It’s only been moments since  David Petraeus resigned as director of the Central Intelligence Agency over his infidelity.

And of course, the question of everyone’s minds is just whom did David, 60, cheat with? Well according to a new report by Slate.com, David, who has been married for 37 years to wife Holly Petraus, cheated with married writer Paula Broadwell (more photos below).

Just who is Paula you ask? Oh she just happens to be a 40-year-old Harvard researcher who co-wrote a biography of David — “All In: The Education of General David Petraeus,” which was released earlier this year.

Paula states on her website that from July 2010 to July 2011, she was “afforded extensive access by General Petraeus, his mentors, his subordinates, and his longtime friends.” Extensive access is what we’re calling it these days uh? Paula’s site also reveals she is married to Dr. Scott Broadwell and they have two kids together while residing in North Carolina.

The FBI is reportedly conducting an ongoing investigation into Paula to see whether she had improper access to Petraeus’ emails and may have seen classified information.

Earlier today, Petraeus issued the following statement after resigning from his position -

“After being married for over 37 years, I showed extremely poor judgment by engaging in an extramarital affair. Such behavior is unacceptable, both as a husband and as the leader of an organization such as ours. This afternoon, the President graciously accepted my resignation.”
