Lance Armstrong To Admit Doping On Oprah’s Next Chapter?
Lance Armstrong is expected to “address the alleged doping scandal, years of accusations of cheating, and charges of lying about the use of performance-enhancing drugs throughout his storied cycling career,” later this month during an episode of “Oprah’s Next Chapter.”
The once renowned cyclist was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles back in October when the United States Anti-Doping Agency banned him from competitive cycling for life.
The decision of the USADA came after Lance announced he would no longer try to fight the charges of illegal drug use that have plagued his career.
While Lance, 41, has maintained for years that there is no proof of the alleged drug usage, the USADA, using claims of alleged witnesses, raised accusations against Lance of HGH, blood transfusions, EPO, and other substance usage to gain unfair advantages in his races.
Fast forward to today and there is now growing whispers and speculation that Lance might be ready to come clean. An article came out over the weekend via NY Daily News which stated Lance was seriously considering admitting he did use performance-enhancing drugs during his career.
The 90-minute episode will be filmed in Lance’s home and will air on January 17th.
