Kelly Clarkson Slams Clive Davis! Says He Bullied Her

Record executive, Clive Davis’  new memoir, The Soundtrack of My Life, is hitting all the wrong notes with singer Kelly Clarkson.

In the book Clive writes about “a very tough conversation” he had with Kelly at a meeting.  Clive states that the conversation “didn’t get any easier when Kelly burst in to hysterical sobbing,” when he demanded the song “Since U Been Gone” be added onto her second album, Breakaway.

Kelly, for her part, says Clive is a bully with a bad memory; “Not true at all,” Kelly wrote in a letter she posted on her official site. “His stories and songs are mixed up. I couldn’t be more proud of that song. I resent him dampening that song in any way.”

The singer admits that she did in fact cry at the meeting, but it was only after Clive called her a “sh**ty writer  who should be grateful for the gifts that he bestows” upon her, when she played him the song  “Because of You,” which he immediately hated.

“I refuse to be bullied and I just have to clear up his memory lapses and misinformation,” Kelly wrote in her letter. “I cried because he hated it. …This was devastating coming from a man who I, as a young girl, considered a musical hero and was so honored to work with. But I continued to fight for the song and the label relented. And it became a worldwide hit. He didn’t include that in the book.”

Clive reps responded to Kelly’s letter with a statement of their own; “I think Kelly Clarkson is a tremendous vocal talent and performer. In the book, I provide an in-depth look at our years together during which we shared major multi-platinum success, as well as a few creative differences. I am truly very sorry that she has decided to take issue with what I know to be an accurate depiction of our time together.”

Issue taken or not, Kelly is glad that she at least learned this lesson; “Anyway, I love my job. I love my music. I love my fans. I love my label and all of my professional relationships… now. And I am grateful for Clive for teaching me to know the difference.”

Clive Davis Comes Out As Bisexual In New Memoir

In a long-awaited memoir entitled, The Soundtrack of My Life, record executive, Clive Davis, reveals that he is bisexual and has been in a few committed relationships with men throughout the years.

Rolling Stone states that the revelation comes at the conclusion of the memoir; “In a candid five-page section toward the end of the book, due in stores today, he [Clive] writes that he first had a sexual encounter with a man during “the era of Studio 54.”  Clive says that after having had some drinks, he felt open to responding to the man’s “sexual overtures,” and explains that being with a man, after having only been with women his entire life (Clive has been married and divorced twice,) came as a “welcome relief.”

Clive goes on to say that after some “soul searching and self-analysis,” he decided to separate from his second wife and went on to have relationships with two women and a man.  In 1990 he began a “monogamous relationship” with a male doctor who he was involved with until 2004.   While that relationship didn’t work out in the long run, Clive met another man and continues to be in a relationship with him to this day.

Revealing his sexuality hasn’t been an easy road for the 80-year-old record exec.  In fact, it brought upon what Clive describes as a “very trying year” with his son Mitchell, but eventually they were able to work things out.

Pippa Middleton’s Book Flops; ‘Embarrasses & Mortifies’ Royal Family

pippa-middletonIt seems like the spotlight has found Pippa Middleton again, but this time it isn’t about her stylish fashion sense, (which has gone from stylish to squeamish), rather it’s about the bomb she dropped on the less-than-savvy, publishing world.

In this case the bomb is the unbelievably useless party-planner book, “Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Family and Friends.”

Imagine buying the book fresh of the shelf to only learn that, ‘turkeys are perfect for feeding a larger gathering’ at Christmas. REALLYYYY???  I guess I should just toss that bologna log and saltines I was working on.  Or that “Drawers may be packed full of useful odds and ends!”   Well you won’t find this book in the drawer that’s for sure.

While Pippa, 29, received a whopping $600,000 advance, Amazon has already lowered the selling price by 50% after a few scant weeks on the market.  Would the fact that Pippa barely promoted the book, having done only 2 events in London and that’s it, changed the outcome of sales? Doubtful. I’m not sure if it would have sold as the official sponsor of a royal wedding.

The Enquirer claims that the royal family is super-embarrassed by how badly the book has done. Remember, this is the same royal family that has seen it’s share of scandals in the last twenty years to say the least.

Speaking of scandals, perhaps a few well-placed pics of her sister, Kate Middleton’s, topless photos in the jacket of the book would have boosted sales….

Couldn’t have hurt.
