PHOTOS: Emma Stone Gets Sexy For W Magazine; Talks Movies, Rumors, & What Makes Her Cry

Funny girl Emma Stone is on the cover of W Magazine looking more (slightly drunk) rock star than actress.

Unlike so many other Hollywood leading ladies, Emma posed almost au natural for her photo shoot.  With messy hair and an almost makeup less face (at least that’s the look they went for), and sporting a sexy bra, Emma looks like she just had a lot of fun in bed and then took a picture.

In the accompanying interview, Emma admits that humor can sometimes be a clutch for her, and explains that her role in Gangster Squad was a bit of fresh air; “In real life, sometimes it’s uncomfortable for me not to go for the joke. I’ve been looking at that in myself lately. Often, joking for me is a way of diffusing the awkwardness of a situation, so it’s kind of exhilarating to be a part of projects where there’s nothing funny or lighthearted.”

The 24-year-old also spoke about rumors that she was drunk at last year’s Oscars, where she presented the award for Best Visual Effects along with Ben Stiller; “We pretended that Ben had been to the Oscars many times and I was this really overly enthusiastic Oscar presenter. I was very excited, and he was not…. Though a lot of people thought it was something else: When I came offstage, they were saying, “You were so drunk!” And I wasn’t. Not until after…”

At a girl.

Emma also showed her emotional side when talking about the movie that will can always make her cry: “The end of City Lights makes me cry every time I see it—when Charlie Chaplin walks by the shop window and the once blind girl brings him a flower and pins it to his lapel. She’s always thought that he was a millionaire, but he was really a tramp. She feels his hand and says, “You?” And he nods. He says, “You can see now?” And she says, “Yes, I can see now.” They cut back to his face, and he lights up like you’ve never seen. That last line—“Yes, I can see now”—has so many meanings. It’s echoed in every great romantic movie since then and in every great moment of life.”

Zero Dark Thirty Fights Its Way To #1 At The Box Office!

Although Zero Dark Thirty failed to nab the award for best film last night, movie-goers thought this thriller was the best of them all this weekend.

The film starring Golden Globe winner Jessica Chastin, Jason Clarke, and Joel Edgerton, brought in $24 million, following a nationwide release this past Friday and in spite of the controversy surrounding the movie, which depicts the hunt and subsequent capture and death of Osama Bin Laden.  The movie’s weekend earnings bring Zero Dark Thirty’s total gross to $29.5 million. Not bad as the movie will surely surpass its $40 million budget.

A Haunted House, Michael Tiddes’ comedy horror spoof starring Marlon Wayans, managed to spook up $18.8 million in earnings, landing it the second spot in the box office. An excellent first week considering the movie only cost $2.5 million to make.

Coming in at #3, Gangster Squad, featuring Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stones wasn’t gangsta’ enough to bring in more than a disappointing $16.7 million. This movie appears to be somewhat of a flop considering it cost a pretty pricey $60 million to make.

Academy Award nominated Django Unchained, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, found itself in fourth place with $11.1 million in earnings over the weekend.

Bringing in the rear was Golden Globe winner for Best Comedy/Musical Anne Hathaways Les Miserables, which made its way down to fifth place earning $10.1 million, bringing this award winner total gross earnings to a not so miserable $119.2 million.

The Box Office top 5 chart  is below with the total domestic gross to date in brackets.

2. A Haunted House- $18.8 million [NEW]

3. Gangster Squad-  $16.7 million [NEW]

Emma Stone Has A Sex Tape, Says Report

Radaronline is reporting that a source has told them that Emma Stone, 24, made a sex tape prior to becoming uber famous.

Aren’t sex tapes like a mandatory thing in Hollywood these days?

“Emma Stone has a sex tape and that’s a fact,” said the source.  “She made it long before she started dating Andrew Garfield, and before she really became a household name. She was just young and probably thought nothing would ever come of it.”

The source, who is supposedly a friend of Emma’s, says that the tape is currently still with the person who Emma made it with, but there are no guarantees that will always be the case; “The higher Emma’s star rises, the more valuable that tape becomes.”

This is why you always take the sex tapes with you after a break up.  Duhhh.

Emma’s “good” buddy went on to say that Emma would fight against the tape being released if it came to that, as she “has no respect for women like Paris Hilton who became famous because they released a sex tape.”

Here’s to hoping Mr. Sexy Times tape holder stays discreet.

Ben Affleck and Emma Stone Have Three-Hour Dinner Together

Ben Affleck and Emma Stone both has significant others, but they were seen leaving any upscale restaurant, Tavern, in Los Angeles’ Brentwood area together on Oct. 23rd.  But before you get your hate-on for the two, it may have been more business than pleasure. We hope.

Emma was slated to appear in a film, Focus, opposite Ryan Gosling, but both stars dropped out earlier this month.  Apparently, Ben is interested in taking the lead, with Emma in her originally slated role.  The couple would play love interests and Ben knows the onscreen chemistry between them would be a hit.

However, even though the couple spent three hours talking over dinner, they both have love interests.  Emma is with Amazing Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield and, of course, Ben has made a family with Jennifer Garner.

In fact, in a recent interview with Ben he gushed on about Jennifer.  He said;  ‘We don’t have a perfect marriage, but she inspired me; and finding myself in that marriage and having a child dovetailed with getting to be a little more  mature.’  Ben added, ‘She truly is kind. She means no one any harm. She doesn’t have ill will for any person. She’s not competitive with other people. She’s not spiteful.  It’s one of those things where it becomes almost aggravating at times. Every time I go, “F– him!” I see in her face that she just thinks that’s petty and small.’

Petty.  Small.  Outraged.  Whatev…

Ben however has a reputation for having a wondering eye and is rumored to have cheated on wife Jennifer with ex-costar Blake Lively. So we have to ask…

Amazing Spider-Man Makes $140 Million! Savages Flops at Box Office

There’s a new box office champ as the highly awaited The Amazing Spider-Man lived up to its hype!

Similar to its predecessors, the movie, which stars Andrew Garfield and his real life girlfriend Emma Stone, earned an amazing $65 million over the weekend, and a total of $140 million since its July 4 release.  The movie is also a hit in other countries, earning a total of $341.2 million worldwide. Not bad as the earnings have already surpassed the movie’s $230 million budget.

Coming in second place this week was last week’s no. 1 movie Ted. Ted earned $35 million this weekend, with Pixar’s Brave coming in No. 3 after bringing in $20.2 million three weeks after its release.

The very hyped Oliver Stone thriller Savages, which stars Blake Lively and Taylor Kitsch unfortunately flopped at the box office, earning a mere $16.2 million. Things are not looking good for Savages which had a $45 million budget Magic Mike put up strong numbers again, coming in fifth place with $15.6 million.

Another flop this weekend was Katy Perry: Part of Me concert documentary, which didn’t even make the top five, instead debuting at No. 7 with a disappointing $7 million. Not surprised as quite frankly, we’re a bit confused on why Katy felt she had enough star power or enough time in the industry to put out a documentary of this magnitude.  The good news for Katy is that the movie only cost $12 million to make, so she’ll likely see a small return on her investment.

The Box Office top 5 chart is below with the total gross to date in brackets -

  1. “The Amazing Spider-Man” – $65 Million ($140 Million)
  2. “Ted” — $35 Million ($120 Million)
  3. “Brave” – $20 Million ($174 Million)
  4. “Savages” — $16 Million
  5. “Magic Mike” — $15 Million ($72 million)

Emma, who admits to a history of panic attacks, continues: “That loss of anonymity, not being able to just sit and watch in certain circumstances, is very strange.”

Emma’s boyfriend and Spider-Man costar,  Andrew Garfield also had some kind words about his girlfriend, admitting he fell for her after their first screen-test together.

Andrew tells Vogue, “Working with Emma was like diving into a thrilling, twisting river and never holding on to the sides. From the start. To the end. Spontaneous. In the moment. Present. Terrifying. Vital. The only way acting with someone should be.”
