It was a weekend of flops as new movies — Rock of Ages and That’s My Boy — did not fare too well at the box office.

Coming in first place for the second week in a row was Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted earning $35 million, with last week’s No. 2 movie, “Prometheus,” retaining its position with $20.2 million.

Rock of Ages, which stars Tom Cruise, landed at No. 3 with an opening weekend of $15.1 million. Pretty disappointing considering the movie cost over $70 million to make.

Snow White and the Huntsman came in No. 4 with $13.8 million, while Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg‘sThat’s My Boy” fared pretty badly rounding out the top five with $13 million. Also a big flop considering its huge stars and the $70 million budget.
