Is Miley Cyrus Bipolar? Is She Headed For a Britney Spears Style Meltdown?

We have spent the past few months watching Miley Cyrus continue to act out for reasons unknown, we always suspected it was for attention since her career is currently stale, but according to the rumor mill and a new report, Miley might be suffering from a more serious issue.

In the past two months alone, Miley, who is still only 19-years-old, was photographed with cuts that appeared to be self-inflicted on her wrists, got a new word tattoo on her hand, was reportedly kissing girls and drinking underage at a NYC nightclub, and let’s not forget exposing her butt cheeks in a very revealing outfit.

And then just days ago, Miley took to her Twitter to share photos of herself getting a very short pixie haircut, and then appeared to go on a rant about self-love and not caring what others thought about her new hairstyle. The only problem is that when she was photographed below just a day later, she was covering up her face. Why?

Earlier this week, a blind item via the Blind Gossip site suggested that Miley was allegedly recently diagnosed with the bipolar disorder and is refusing to take her meds because she doesn’t want it to change or tone down her personality. This is all alleged of course though it would explain her recent behavior no?

And now a new report by Radar Online is stating that experts believe Miley is headed for a major breakdown a la Britney Spears head shaving circa 2007.

A health expert tells Radar that they suspect Miley might be suffering from some form of emotional trauma based on her recent behavior including the latest haircut.

“Miley Cyrus seems stuck in a set of compulsive behaviors that cry out for attention,” Los Angeles-based psychologist Dr. Seth Meyers, who has not treated Miley revealed.

Indeed, immediately following the drastic cut on Sunday, Miley tweeted, “never felt more me in my whole life” and “feeling so happy in my skin.” After getting some criticism, her tweets then turned negative as she wrote: “Opinions are like a**holes.” Since, Miley has spent the entire week tweeting non stop photos of herself with her new cut.

Dr. Meyers feels that Miley’s recent actions are very reminiscent of Britney’s infamous meltdown years ago which ended with her shaving her head, temporarily losing custody of her kids, and being hauled off in the back of an ambulance for a mental evaluation. Oddly enough, unconfirmed reports have stated Britney was also diagnosed with the bipolar disorder.

“Miley Cyrus’ parade of unusual and provocative behavior recently reminds me of Britney Spears’ downward spiral in the past,” explained Meyers.

“The apparent recent marks on her wrist, the drastic haircut, and an undeniably fledgling career suggest to me that Miley is overwhelmed with anxiety, feeling lost and uncertain about her future. Her loved ones should keep a close eye on her in case her impulsive behavior continues and gets worse, potentially putting her at risk of self-harm,” he added.

What is clear is that something’s definitely off with Miley these days…
