Victorious Is Cancelled By Nickelodeon! Victoria Justice Speaks Out

Sad news today for Victorious fans as the Nickelodeon network has officially decided to cancel the hit series!

The network announced on Friday August 10 that the third season, which has just finished filming, will be the last.

Show creator Dan Schneider took to his blog to chime in. “By now, a lot of you have heard that Victorious will not be returning for a 4th season.  That is true.  This was the network’s decision – not mine,” wrote Dan, adding: “I would love to have made more than 60 of Victorious, but that’s how it usually goes.”

Indeed as Dan points out that all the other hit shows on the network aka Drake & Josh and Zoey 101 also ended after 60 episodes.

The good news however is that there will be 15 new episodes airing from the upcoming 3rd season!  “There is a whole NEW season of Victorious coming your way.  We just finished shooting 15 new episodes, and they’re amazing,” wrote Dan.

The show’s star Victoria Justice also spoke out via twitter. Victoria wrote:  “3 Emmy nominations is not a bad send off… #GoingOutOnTop #LoveUguys :{)”

The show also stars Leon Thomas III, Matt Bennett, Elizabeth Gillies, Ariana Grande, Avan Jogia, and Daniella Monet. 

Nickelodeon also cancelled iCarly back in June. And last month, they announced a new spinoff called titled Sam & Cat starring Ariana as her character Cat Valentine from Victorious and Jennette McCurdy as Sam Puckett from iCarly.

The final season of Victorious will premier this fall.
