If you’ve ever wondered why Lindsay Lohan is the certifiable hot mess she is today, please look no further than her father Michael Lohan!

TMZ broke the news today that Michael, 52, has gotten his much younger 28-year-old girlfriend Kate Major pregnant. And yes, this is the same Kate that has accused Michael of domestic violence on a number of occasions and the same Kate that had a restraining order out against Michael. Ahh, it appears true love conquers all restraining orders.

“Sources” reveal Kate is in her first trimester, while TMZ points out that the restraining order she had against Michael was only lifted a few weeks ago, meaning Michael knocked her up while the order was still in effect. How romantical!

Even worse, Michael, being the father of the decade that he is, forgot to inform his daughter Lindsay, 25, of the news before calling TMZ. You know he has them on speed dial!

Yes, Lindsay had to find out through the media like everybody else. Sources now reveal that Lindsay was shocked and disappointed about the news and the fact that Michael failed to inform her.

Lindsay is also reportedly wondering how the “certified deadbeat” Michael will be able to afford another kid. Yikes. A photo of Kate’s baby bump is below.
