Usher’s Ex-Wife Tameka Foster Talks Son’s Death & Being Called A Gold Digger
Usher’s ex-wife, Tameka Foster, is speaking out about her side of the whole ugly story.
Foster spoke to Entertainment Tonight’s Nancy O’Dell recently telling the host, “I kind of just felt like it was time to clear a few things up, I have been very guarded and protected.”
Not that they’re saying she’s a gold digger but some people have accused Foster, 41, of marrying Usher, 33, for his money (Okay, so they are saying she’s a gold digger.)
“I think this is the typical stereotype. If a woman who has lesser means — even if she is successful and hard-working and does her thing in her own right — marries someone, that’s what they call ‘marrying up,’ I guess. Someone who has more means or more money, they’re automatically a gold digger. . .The woman is always the gold digger. It’s kind of an insult to the men because it implies they’re not lovable.”, was Tameka’s response to these allegations.
The ex-couple’s turbulent divorce, which was marked with accusations of adultery, ended with the singer being granted primary custody of sons Usher V, 4, and Naviyd, 3.
Regarding accusations that Usher cheated on Tameka with one of her bridesmaids Tameka told O’Dell, “He admitted to sleeping with one of the two. It was a very disappointing revelation.”
Though the exes have a strained relationship, they did come together over the summer when Foster lost her son Kyle after the young boy was hit on the head by a jet ski in a tragic accident.
“I’m still in shock,” Foster said. “I think this will probably be the greatest pain I will ever experience, losing him. But, it gave me strength beyond measure and it made me determined to fight for my other [children].”

Usher’s Ex-Wife Tameka Foster Slams Him Over Dead Stepson; Says He Didn’t Attend Kyle’s Funeral
One would have thought the tragic loss of Kyle Glover would have made Tameka Foster and Usher realize what was important and helped put an end to their nasty child custody battle over their two sons together.
Unfortunately it only made things worse as it appears Tameka, 41, is hitting Usher way below the belt by accusing him of only faking his sympathy for his now deceased step-son Kyle. Wow.
According to TMZ, Usher, 33, filed papers with the courts asking them to postpone their child custody hearing scheduled for August 13. Usher’s reasons seemed pretty valid as he reveals he’s concerned the hearing would cause “unnecessary stress and strain” for both himself, Tameka and their two minor children “in the immediate wake of this tragedy.”
Usher also feels Tameka might get an unfair advantage in the hearing because the court would not want to rule against a woman who is still grieving the death of her son.
Tameka, who just buried her son last week, filed her own response through her lawyers during which she got very very nasty.
First Tameka states Usher’s claims of “stress and strain” are “bogus” because “[Usher] visited Kile in the hospital only once” during his 15 days on life support. Did we mention that Usher also lent her his private jet to fly home to be with her son immediately following the tragic accident?
It didn’t end there as Tameka’s response got downright ridic saying Usher didn’t care because he refused to tweet a prayer request for Kile. Seriously folks.
Tameka says she begged Usher to tweet a message about her son, “Please pray for Kile” … but he refused. Tameka also reveals Usher did not attend Kyle’s funeral.
Tameka now wants the judge to DENY Usher’s request and require him to appear at the next scheduled hearing, set for August 13 because according to Tameka, resolving the custody battle is the only way for her to heal and move forward with her life.
I must say I’m very disappointed to see that Kyle’s loss has yet to change Tameka for the better. The fact is that Usher owes absolutely nothing to Tameka when it comes to his step sons. Especially since those step sons have a caring and loving father in the form of Ryan Glover who takes good care of them.
Usher did not need to stay in the hospital everyday nor did he need to make a public tweet in other for him to show he cares. He’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. If he had made that tweet, people would have accused him of using the tragedy to get himself publicity. Tameka’s claims would have had more merit had she not included the ridiculous twitter incident which just makes her appear petty and still very bitter.

Usher’s stepson Kyle Glover was finally laid to rest today.
Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Foster is pictured above at her late son’s funeral in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday (July 27).
TMZ reports that following the sad funeral, the 11-year-old was buried in a nearby cemetery. There’s no word yet on whether or not Usher attended the funeral.
Kyle was declared brain dead accident earlier this month following after he was struck by a jet ski while riding in an inner tube. He then passed away over the weekend from injuries he sustained. RIP Kyle.

Usher’s Stepson Kyle Glover Is Dead; Taken Off Life Support
Very sad news to report today as Usher‘s 11-year-old stepson Kyle Glover is dead.
TMZ is reporting that Kyle, son of Usher’s ex wife Tameka Foster, passed away this morning exactly two weeks after he was declared brain dead by doctors.
Kyle suffered from a very serious head injury in early July after he was struck in the head by a jetski while he was riding in an inner tube with a friend. That accident, which was caused by Usher’s family friend Jeffrey S. Hubbard, remains under investigation.
Tameka, 38, reportedly struggled with the decision to remove Kyle from life support after doctors determined his injuries were simply too severe to recover from.
She is said to be “devastated.”

Tameka Foster & Son’s Real Father Ryan Glover Deserve Sympathy Over Usher; Family Speaks Out
It’s been almost a week since Usher’s stepson, a.k.a the son of his ex-wife Tameka Foster, was declared brain dead following a tragic accident in which he was struck a jet ski being driven by family friend Jeffrey S. Hubbard.
Since then, most media headlines and outlets (Celebrity Pop included) have focused on the Usher angle. Some celebs have even gone as far as to send only Usher well wishes when it comes to his 11-year-old stepson Kyle Glover.
Well a family friend of Tameka and her ex-husband Ryan Glover (Kyle’s real father) is now speaking out, and urging the public to not forget that Tameka and Ryan should be getting sympathy first and foremost, rightfully so if I might add.
“I’ve seen celebs and media outlets alike continue to send their condolences to Usher. Kyle was Tameka and Ryan Glover‘s child and the sympathy should be given to them first and foremost,” an associate of Tameka’s tells Radar Online.
“Although Usher has been so kind in chartering a plane so she could be by Kile’s side, he didn’t necessarily play a huge role in Tameka’s other children’s lives after the divorce therefore it seems a little disrespectful that Ryan is being ignored as a father, in place of another just because he’s topping the Billboard charts,” the source continued.
The source adds: “Ryan was equally devoted and involved in Kile’s life — they shared joint custody and Kile was with his other family at the lake, so for those who are claiming Tameka’s at fault for not being there is just absurd — because of the joint custody, her two boys aren’t always directly in her eyesight, but she is a phenomenal mother.”
Very valid points. Also, Kyle’s family (we’re assuming Tameka and Ryan) released their first public statement about the condition of their son to CNN -
“We know God’s in control, and are leaning on our faith in Him and His word at this most difficult time. We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you all continue to pray and lift Kile up, as it’s the best way we can all support him now.”
Kyle’s father Ryan is the president of Bounce TV. He is also a former executive with Turner Broadcasting, the parent company of CNN. Our prayers are with Kyle.
TMZ also reported that in light of the recent tragedy, Usher is now hoping he and Tameka can settle their very nasty ongoing child custody dispute over their two sons together.

Usher’s Family Friend Being Investigated For Stepson Accident, Tameka Foster Speaks Out
Unfortunately for Usher and his ex-wife Tameka Foster, Kyle Glover – Tameka’s son – remains in a hospital, in a very “bad” condition.
And according to a new report, a family friend of the former couple is now under investigation for the jet ski accident which left 11-year-old Kyle brain dead.
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources confirms 38-year-old Jeffrey S. Hubbard was driving the jet ski when he ran over Kyle and an unidentified 15-year-old girl, who were being towed on an inner tube by a pontoon boat.
Kyle was struck in the head and never regained consciousness while the 15-year-old girl is said to be doing better despite also suffering some serious injuries.
The somewhat good news is that officials confirm that alcohol was not a factor in the incident. They also do not believe it was a result of a mechanical malfunction in the jet ski.
“One minute the jet ski was running around, the next he ran over the top of them — it happened that quickly,” Sgt. Mike Burgamy of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources told the New York Daily News. “It appears the watercraft did strike both juveniles, with the male taking the brunt of the force.”
Tameka, 38, also briefly spoke to Radar Online simply stating, “He’s bad” when asked about the condition of her son with ex-husband Ryan Glover. Here’s to hoping Kyle will be able to make a miraculous recovery.
