Lindsay Lohan “Devastated” By Criticism Of Liz & Dick Lifetime Movie
Friends of Lindsay Lohan told Huffington Post that Lindsay is “devastated” by the criticism her performance in the suckfest Lifetime movie “Liz and Dick” is receiving.
“She [Lindsay] has got used to all the negative press around her personal life but this is the first time she has experienced it about her work. No matter how bad things were going for her personally, everyone would always agree that she was a great actress,” said Lindsay’s pal.
Critics, however, disagreed about Lindsay’s great acting scenes, at least as far as this movie was concerned, with the New York Times stating that Lindsay appeared to be “sleepwalking through scenes,” and Entertainment Weekly saying that “when it came to Lohan “doing” Liz: She done her wrong.”
Lindsay, 26, can’t even do herself right these days, not sure why anyone was expecting her to give anything other than a mediocre performance in her portrayal of icon Elizabeth Taylor.
Another source told HP that Lindsay was aware the script wasn’t strong, but that she hoped to “bring the role of Elizabeth to life,” and that “this is particularly heartbreaking as her acting was the only thing in her life that she knew was real. Now she is doubting that, too.”
Lindsay’s father Michael thinks the critics are a bunch of talentless know nothings and said that “Lindsay proved that she is an amazing actress. This was a different role for her at a difficult time of her life. She still has what it takes to be the Lindsay Lohan that is one of Hollywood’s top actresses.” When did Lindsay become one of Hollywood’s top actresses? Did I miss a step here?
Perhaps if Ms. Lohan would start acting like she has an ounce of responsibility in her red head, people would start taking her seriously as an actress, and a human being, again. Just a thought.
As for the ratings, Lindsay, despite her non-stop media tour, couldn’t pull in big numbers for the Lifetime network. Liz & Dick only drew in 3.5 million viewers, not that impressive in comparison to “Steel Magnolias” — the most-watched TV movie this year — which attracted 6.5 million.

Lindsay Lohan has once again made the headlines. No! She hasn’t slammed into anything, missed another court date or was caught stealing.
This time it’s all about her ‘crash-and-burn’ attire for a private dinner in honor of the premiere of her latest movie, Liz & Dick, where she is (supposed) to be playing Elizabeth Taylor.
The trashy shiny, bejewelled dress hugged her body, but it was the diamond-shaped cut-outs from breast to belly that really set the fashion waves on fire – they were brutal! With her flaming red hair, Botox lips and curvy body she looks more like Jessica Rabbit than anyone else.
Even though Liz & Dick is being called Lindsay’s “come-back” movie, she has failed to pull off any acting skills and the ratings are horrible. However, Saturday Night Live has taken up the satirical sword, wielding it directly at Lindsey – which is hysterical!
Is it possible she phoned-in her performance?
However, were the odds stacked against her from the beginning? Elizabeth is an icon and hiring someone to portray her is a tough enough lead to ask, much less from a woman who has trouble remembering her court dates or finding a door to a public building.
Lindsay states her take on her role as Liz by saying; “I relate to her on a lot of levels — living in the public eye, dealing with the stress of what other people say, whether it’s true or not. She adds; “I personally understand Liz, because you’re living your life for everyone to see, and people are growing with you.”
Not sure it’s so much growing with you as running away from you! Which, BTW, is what the producers should have done when they considered Lindsay for this role.

Barbara Walters Slams Lindsay Lohan For Cancelling Interview!
What’s one thing you never want to do? Piss off Barbara Walters, that’s what.
The 20/20 powerhouse was all set to interview the never reliable (except to get into trouble) Lindsay Lohan about her latest role as Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime biopic Liz & Dick, when the interview was canceled because Lindsay didn’t “feel up to it.” After Barbara had already flown out to the set of the movie!
So imagine Barbara’s surprise when she later read a newspaper announcing that Lindsay was interviewing with Jay Leno. “We were supposed to do the interview last week to air on 20/20 Nov. 16, I spent a lot of time doing a lot of homework, watching the movie. Then her longtime press agent resigned. That should’ve been a clue,” Barbara told her “The View” co-hosts on November 12th. “If her PR group had been forthright,” Walters continued, “I wouldn’t feel quite as disappointed as I do today. I think I could’ve had a more honest explanation.”
Honesty from Lindsay’s camp? Good luck with that.
Barbara even showed a clip of Lindsay talking about her “exhaustion” during the filming of the movie. Especially embarrassing because the film’s producers called 911 at one point when they couldn’t wake Lindsay; “I think I was just honestly tired. I needed a nap for 15 minutes, and there were seven paramedics in my room. Imagine how I felt. I’m fine,” Lindsay said at the time.

Lindsay Lohan Smoking Two Packs of Cigarettes a Day on Movie Set
In today’s Lindsay Lohan is still a hot mess news, a new report is stating she has traded in one addiction for another is now smoking at an alarming rate!
According to Us Weekly, Lindsay, a former? cocaine user, who is currently filming her new Lifetime movie, Liz & Dick, is starting to feel very stressed out, and is smoking two packs of cigarettes a day on the set.
“Literally every time she finishes a scene she lights up another cigarette,” the source explains. “You can hear the crew saying, ‘That’s cut — get a cigarette for Lindsay.’ ”
Lindsay, 25, is playing Elizabeth Taylor opposite Grant Bowler (Richard Burton) in the Lifetime biopic. This marks her first lead role since 2009′s Labor Pains.
“In between takes she would sit on the director’s chair puffing on her cigarettes,” the source adds. “Lindsay has been working hard, but without the nicotine she probably could not make it through as she appears stressed at times and they do seem to calm her down.”
This news is in addition to recent reports of Lindsay still partying until morning hours, while also acting like a total diva on the set.

Lindsay Lohan Showing Up Late and Forgetting Her Lines On ‘Liz & Dick’ Set
Surprise, surprise, Lindsay Lohan is once again screwing up on the set of her new movie!
According to new reports, the idiots people behind Lifetime’s Elizabeth Taylor movie continue to regret their decision to give Lindsay, 25, her 1000th chance to get her career back on track.
In case you haven’t been keeping up, Lindsay got into serious car accident weeks ago that was all her fault and lied to cops, despite the fact that the movie’s insurance policy banned her from getting behind the wheel during filming. And then last week, Lindsay tried to call in sick, which ended up backfiring when cops and paramedics were called to check on her in her hotel room. And finally, Us Weekly reported on Monday that La Lohan is still partying through early morning hours.
According to the latest issue of Star magazine, the cast and crew members of the new movie Liz & Dick are also fed up with her diva behavior.
Even worse, Lindsay is also clashing with her costar Grant Bowler. Apparently, she was biased against Grant from the beginning, because she delusionally believed her own star power was worthy of leading men such as Gerard Butler, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Wahlberg and even Brad Pitt. For realz!
Due to her delusions, she has been treating Grant pretty badly and he is now fed up with her.
“The crew is fed up with Lindsay because they have to spend so much time dealing with her diva antics and, in turn, trying to soothe Grant’s battered ego,” says a source.
The National Enquirer gets more in-depth adding that Lindsay is often late to the set, can’t concentrate and flubs her lines.
“Most days she shows up two hours late and she rarely knows her lines. A production assistant has to feed them to her,” said a set insider. “She’s completely unfocused and she keeps running over to the director, but he doesn’t have a clue how to handle her. The footage so far has been just awful.”
Honestly, Lindsay has no incentive to change at this time, because there are other idiots out there who will be willing to give her another chance once she gets through filming this movie!

TMZ has obtained the first photo of Lindsay, 25, as Elizabeth Taylor. If you recall, Lindsay has signed up to play Liz Taylor in an upcoming Lifetime movie.
Lindsay is apparently very serious about her role that she had her hair and cut and dyed to look like Taylor’s classic ‘do.
Shooting on the movie is set to start this week and Grant Bowler from “True Blood” will star as Richard Burton.
