Matt Lauer’s Wife Will Divorce Him If Natalie Morales Becomes Co-Host, Says Report

Oh boy, it appears Matt Lauer’s alleged sloppy cheating ways is coming back to haunt him!

In case you haven’t been keeping up, it has been widely reported by numerous media outlets over the years that the Today Show host cheated on his wife Annette Lauer with his coworker/fellow Today Show host Natalie Morales.

As if that wasn’t scandalous enough, recent reports have also alleged he might have even fathered one of her sons. Ai ya ya. By the way, Natalie is also married!

The latest today is a new report by the National Enquirer stating that Annette is planning to divorce Matt, 54, if Natalie, 40, ends up replacing the departing Ann Curry and becoming Matt’s co-host on the morning show.

A source close to Matt’s wife tells the The National Enquirer: “When she heard about Ann getting the boot, the first thing she told Matt was that she didn’t want him cozying up any closer to Natalie.”

“In fact, Annette drew a line in the sand and said if he pushed show bosses to make Natalie his new co-host, she’d divorce him,” the source continues.  “Annette knows Matt is the key to the Today franchise and his bosses will put whoever he wants in the co-host chair.”

Luckily for Annette, she doesn’t have much to worry about as Savannah Guthrie is the front runner to replace Ann – something that is reportedly bothering Natalie.

Yes, in yet another twist, the NY Post reported today that Natalie is threatening to quit the show all together if NBC does not promote her to becoming Matt’s co-host. Seriously, could this get any messier?

“If Natalie’s passed over for the job, she’s going to leave next,” a source told Page Six. “This will be the second time [Natalie] has been passed over for the top job. And she’s not happy,” the source adds.

So we wait and see. Does Annette file for divorce? Or does Natalie quit her job?
