Ice Age Movie Debuts at No. 1 With $46 Million!

Move over Spider Man, there’s a new box office champ this week!

Living up to its hype was Ice Age: Continental Drift which is making its debut at No. 1 this week after earning an impressive $46 million. Even better, the animated movie, which features the voices of Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj, Ray Romano, and Queen Latifah, earned an additional $95.3 million overseas. Not too bad as the movie had a $95 million budget.

The Amazing Spider-Mancame came in second place, still earning a not too shabby $34 million in its second weekend. The movie has already earned a cool $200.9 million domestically since it’s July 4 release.Coming in third place was Ted with $22.1 million in gross this weekend. Disney’s Brave came in fourth place with $11 million, while Savages continued to be a flop, falling to fifth place this weekend with just $9 million. The movie has earned a poor $32 million in two weeks — pretty bad numbers considering it had a budget of $45 million.
