No she hasn’t invented a cure for cancer or aids, but Bollywood actress Sherlyn Chopra is making history!

The 28-year-old Indian actress will be featured nude in the pages of Playboy’s November issue which officially makes her the first Indian actress to pose nude for the mag.

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner tweeted: “Bollywood starlet Sherlyn Chopra will be the first Indian to appear nude in Playboy, in the November issue. ”

Speaking to BBC Hindi, Sheryln admits posing nude was challenging. For realz!  “It is not an easy task to be nude in front of the camera and look good at the same time,” she says adding that she actually wrote to Playboy about her interest in posing nude and the magazine got back to her within days.

But as expected, Sheryln’s appearance is already proving controversial in India. In fact, Playboy is currently banned in the country though the website can be accessed online.  “She’s not hot, she’s repulsive,” said one critic on Twitter.

Sheryln is however brushing off the backlash.

“I have become the first Indian to pose naked for Playboy and nobody can take away that achievement from me. My sister is proud of my achievement. I haven’t told anything to my mother, but I think I will visit her and tell her that she has to accept me the way I am,” says Sherlyn.
