Usher’s Ex-Wife Tameka Foster Talks Son’s Death & Being Called A Gold Digger
Usher’s ex-wife, Tameka Foster, is speaking out about her side of the whole ugly story.
Foster spoke to Entertainment Tonight’s Nancy O’Dell recently telling the host, “I kind of just felt like it was time to clear a few things up, I have been very guarded and protected.”
Not that they’re saying she’s a gold digger but some people have accused Foster, 41, of marrying Usher, 33, for his money (Okay, so they are saying she’s a gold digger.)
“I think this is the typical stereotype. If a woman who has lesser means — even if she is successful and hard-working and does her thing in her own right — marries someone, that’s what they call ‘marrying up,’ I guess. Someone who has more means or more money, they’re automatically a gold digger. . .The woman is always the gold digger. It’s kind of an insult to the men because it implies they’re not lovable.”, was Tameka’s response to these allegations.
The ex-couple’s turbulent divorce, which was marked with accusations of adultery, ended with the singer being granted primary custody of sons Usher V, 4, and Naviyd, 3.
Regarding accusations that Usher cheated on Tameka with one of her bridesmaids Tameka told O’Dell, “He admitted to sleeping with one of the two. It was a very disappointing revelation.”
Though the exes have a strained relationship, they did come together over the summer when Foster lost her son Kyle after the young boy was hit on the head by a jet ski in a tragic accident.
“I’m still in shock,” Foster said. “I think this will probably be the greatest pain I will ever experience, losing him. But, it gave me strength beyond measure and it made me determined to fight for my other [children].”

Usher Opens Up About Custody Battle & Ex-Wife Tameka Foster
R&B singer Usher has been in a heated custody battle for three years over his two sons, Usher V, 4, and Naviyd, 3. On August 24th of this year, a judge awarded him primary care of the boys, over their biological mother, Tameka Foster.
In his first sit down interview in a very long time, Usher opens up to Oprah on her show, Oprah’s Next Chapter, saying; “I’ve been a man of integrity throughout the entire process.” He goes on to admit he did try to make the relationship work with the celebrity stylist, “I impregnated this woman, we were in a relationship, we were in love. . . I was taking responsibility.” Wow, did you use those exact words in your vows?
Usher’s mom kibosh’d the first attempt at the couple getting married in 2007 – before a 5 month pregnant Foster could waddle down the aisle. However, the singer didn’t listen and ran off with Foster to tie the knot a week later. But it wasn’t until 2008, before son Naviyd was born that he realized the marriage was in trouble. “She wasn’t coping well with being in this position, being married to Usher, and all that came with that.” Cause you’re hot and woman throw their underwear at you.
Plus, Usher confides, “(I) married someone that people don’t approve of.” Mom still not hot on the hairdresser?
Usher was also pressed about this very nasty custody battle with Foster. “Is there still respect for her as the mother of your children?” Winfrey asked him. “I really feel like we were friends. She made us enemies in a way that I could never, I could never understand,” he said.

Usher Wins In Court as Tameka Foster Loses Custody of Kids
Just weeks after losing her 11-year-old son Kyle Glover to a tragic death, Tameka Foster has lost custody of her sons with ex-husband Usher today.
TMZ is reporting that the ugly custody battle between the two exes finally ended today after a judge awarded Usher, 33, custody of his two sons with Tameka, 41.
Usher’s argument was that Tameka was an inattentive and irresponsible parent, while Tameka fired back alleging Usher was an absentee dad who did drugs in front of his kids.
A lot of dirt came out during the trial including the fact that Tameka herself admitted she once threatened Usher and his new girlfriend.
TMZ adds that while Usher got primary custody, Tameka will still have some custodial rights to her kids.
Usher’s Ex-Wife Tameka Foster Slams Him Over Dead Stepson; Says He Didn’t Attend Kyle’s Funeral
One would have thought the tragic loss of Kyle Glover would have made Tameka Foster and Usher realize what was important and helped put an end to their nasty child custody battle over their two sons together.
Unfortunately it only made things worse as it appears Tameka, 41, is hitting Usher way below the belt by accusing him of only faking his sympathy for his now deceased step-son Kyle. Wow.
According to TMZ, Usher, 33, filed papers with the courts asking them to postpone their child custody hearing scheduled for August 13. Usher’s reasons seemed pretty valid as he reveals he’s concerned the hearing would cause “unnecessary stress and strain” for both himself, Tameka and their two minor children “in the immediate wake of this tragedy.”
Usher also feels Tameka might get an unfair advantage in the hearing because the court would not want to rule against a woman who is still grieving the death of her son.
Tameka, who just buried her son last week, filed her own response through her lawyers during which she got very very nasty.
First Tameka states Usher’s claims of “stress and strain” are “bogus” because “[Usher] visited Kile in the hospital only once” during his 15 days on life support. Did we mention that Usher also lent her his private jet to fly home to be with her son immediately following the tragic accident?
It didn’t end there as Tameka’s response got downright ridic saying Usher didn’t care because he refused to tweet a prayer request for Kile. Seriously folks.
Tameka says she begged Usher to tweet a message about her son, “Please pray for Kile” … but he refused. Tameka also reveals Usher did not attend Kyle’s funeral.
Tameka now wants the judge to DENY Usher’s request and require him to appear at the next scheduled hearing, set for August 13 because according to Tameka, resolving the custody battle is the only way for her to heal and move forward with her life.
I must say I’m very disappointed to see that Kyle’s loss has yet to change Tameka for the better. The fact is that Usher owes absolutely nothing to Tameka when it comes to his step sons. Especially since those step sons have a caring and loving father in the form of Ryan Glover who takes good care of them.
Usher did not need to stay in the hospital everyday nor did he need to make a public tweet in other for him to show he cares. He’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. If he had made that tweet, people would have accused him of using the tragedy to get himself publicity. Tameka’s claims would have had more merit had she not included the ridiculous twitter incident which just makes her appear petty and still very bitter.

Usher’s Ex-Wife Tameka Foster’s Son Declared Brain Dead
Some very sad news to report today as TMZ is reporting Tameka Foster’s 11-year-old son Kyle Glover has been declared brain dead.
According to TMZ, Kyle, who happens to be Usher’s stepson, suffered a head injury yesterday after he was hit in the head by a passing jet ski while he riding on an inner tube on Lake Lanier in Atlanta, GA.
Following the news, Usher immediately arranged for his estranged wife Tameka to use his private jet to fly to be by her son’s side in the hospital.
Unfortunately, sources are confirming today that Kyle has experienced zero brain activity since his hospital admission, though there has yet to be a decision whether or not to take him off life support.
TMZ also adds that Usher arrived at the hospital last night. Our hearts go out to Usher and Tameka during this difficult time. Another photo of Kyle is below.
A lot of people are also wondering What Is Brain Dead? Well according to medical experts, being brain dead basically means you are dead, and are only being kept alive with the help of machines.
If there’s any brain activity going on, the patient may be in a coma or vegetative state. However a brain dead person doesn’t show brain activity.

Usher Is Divorcing Tameka For Another Woman! Plus His Family & Friends Always Hated Her
It’s been years since Usher split from his yet to be ex-wife Tameka Foster, and his divorce has still yet to be finalized. And why would it? The exes are currently busy with their very nasty ongoing child custody case.
Radar Online is also reporting today that Usher, 33, is however very eager to be divorced from the cray-cray Tameka so that he can marry his new cougar girlfriend, Def Jam record executive Grace Miguel, 44.
“He can’t dump Tameka fast enough. No one likes her. Since the day it became known he was dating Tameka, friends and family have been telling him she’s not right for him,” a source reveals.
If you recall, Usher’s mother, Jonetta Patton boycotted Tameka and Usher’s planned August 2007 wedding after her future daughter-in-law attempted to have her fired as Usher’s manager. “And Tameka threatened to ban her own mother from the ceremony because her mom had lost her false teeth,” says the insider.
Usher and Tameka, 38, would end up trying the knot a week later at a courthouse in Atlanta, despite Tameka’s shady criminal past which includes being busted for petty theft and welfare fraud when in her teens and early twenties.
Fast forward to today, and the couple is currently engaged in a bitter child custody battle over their two sons together. Sources however believe Tameka is mostly bitter that Usher has moved on.
“Tameka was fighting to save the marriage,” the source says. Recently, when Usher “traveled to Cleveland for basketball play-offs last month, Tameka followed him. You had the farcical situation of Tameka running around town trying to find him and Usher ordering friends not to tell her where he was staying.”
