Taylor Swift Sued for $2.5 Million Over Cancelled Canadian Concert
In today’s celebrity news, the sweet innocent virginal Taylor Swift is the subject of a lawsuit. GASP!
According to TMZ, the 23-year-old country singer (yes, she’s actually 23 even though she only dates 18-year-olds!) is being sued to the tune of $2.5 million over a cancelled Canadian concert.
The lawsuit claims that Taylor got paid the $2.5 million amount to perform at the Capital Hoedown in Ottawa, Canada in August 2012. The show eventually got cancelled but the super adorbs Taylor kinda forgot to return the money! Oops? If only I had a penny for every time I received $2.5 mil for a concert that never happened and forgot to return the money!
TMZ however adds that the concert cancellation was not Taylor’s fault as the promoters simply couldn’t get their act together in time for the show.
The lawsuit, which was filed in federal court in New York, says Taylor got all of her money up front, so now the ticket company, which had to refund $1.8 million in ticket sales, thinks Taylor should be responsible for the bill.
So to sum this up, Taylor got paid a cool $2.5 million for a concert that got cancelled. The credit card processing company EVO Merchant Services was then forced to return $1.8 million in refunds to customers, which in turned caused them to sue Florida-based ticketing company FIRE USA Inc. FIRE is now in turn suing Taylor to try to recoup the $2.5 million fee. Whew!
A rep for Taylor tells TMZ that she never made a deal with FIRE and hasn’t seen the lawsuit.
I’m not sure how the contract Taylor signed was worded but it seems absurd that she should get to keep the full $2.5 million she got paid for a concert that had to be cancelled.

Harry Styles Talks Taylor Swift Break Up and Grammy Diss!
Taylor Swift’s got nothing on Harry Styles in the class department.
At least not when it comes to their breakup.
While 23-year-old Taylor took a jab at Harry during her performance at the Grammys, Harry, for his part, had nothing but positive things to say about his ex.
Speaking to London’s Capital FM, Harry, 18, spoke out for the first time about his split from Taylor. “I’m okay, thank you for asking,” Harry said when asked how he’s feeling about the breakup. “I’m good.”
Though Harry could have easily bashed Taylor for her immature jab at the Grammys, the singer took the high road instead complimenting his ex for her performance; “She’s a great performer and she always performs great,” Harry said. “She’s always good on the stage. She’s been doing it a long time. She knows what she’s doing on stage. It was just another good Taylor Swift performance. It was good.”
Yes folks, the 18-year-old kid beat the 23-year-old “woman” in the maturity department. Surprising? Not really, after all, Taylor has been twenty-something going on fifteen for a while now. Just nice to see Harry actually knows how to handle a situation like an adult.
When addressing all the publicity his breakup receives, Harry says he can understand the curiosity of others; “I understand why people would wanna know stuff like that, I get it. If someone does stuff like that then I wanna know about it, too,” he said. “I guess it just kind of. . . It is what it is, I guess.”

Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood “Hate Each Other!”
Taylor Swift wishes Carrie Underwood could be invisible at tomorrow’s Grammy awards!
At least that’s what a source that spoke to Us Weekly claims. According to the source, Grammy executives were instructed to keep the two singers “from crossing paths” because “they hate each other!”
Although a representative for the Grammy’s says that no such request was received from either Taylor or Carrie, a friend of Taylor’s maintains that Carrie is persona non grata in Taylor’s eyes; “Taylor feels Carrie is always rude to her, so she steer clear of her.” (A Grammy rep counters, “No requests were received from either artist.”)
Last year at the Country Music Association Awards, Carrie, who acted as a host for the awards ceremony, joked about Taylor’s breakup with Conor Kennedy telling co-host Brad Paisley that Taylor and Conor were; “Never, never, never, never ever,” going to get back together, referencing Taylor’s song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” That was actually hilarious. Bitchy, but hilarious.
On February 7th, Taylor, whose album is nominated for record of the year, told Ryan Seacrest that she was surprised to learn she was scheduled as the Grammy’s opening act.; “It’s not like they approach you . . . It just surprised me I was going to go first.”
I’m not sure if there is any truth behind this Taylor/Carrie rumor, but if there is, we’ll just hope these two ladies realize there’s a place for us all at the show.

Taylor Swift ‘Embarrassed’ By Jokes Made About Her Love Life
Taylor Swift isn’t laughing with us anymore.
According to a source that spoke to Radaronline.com, all the jokes about Taylor’s love life are starting to get to her and she is starting to wonder “who’s really joking and who’s not.”
Was anyone in the “who’s not” category?
“At first Taylor just thought it was funny how much interest people had in her love life and she went along with it,” the insider explained. “But now she’s the butt of jokes on Saturday Night Live, in the tabloids and on the late night shows. She laughed it off, but the jokes made about her at the Golden Globes got under her skin.”
During the awards show co-hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler joked about Taylor leaving Michael J. Fox’s son alone now that she is single again, and they apparently did not sit well with the 23-year-old singer; “The jokes being made about her love life embarrass her, but it’s finally hit home with Taylor,” the source continued. “She really wants to make an effort to slow down and not jump from boyfriend to boyfriend. In a weird way all the negative press has really opened her eyes and will be good for her!”
That’s actually good news considering the onslaught of men that has been Taylor’s so-called love life. From Jake Gyllenhaal to John Mayer to most recently Harry Styles, Taylor has put herself in the role of “butt of jokes” by never giving herself any breathing room between men, and not only insisting on trash-talking every one of them via her song lyrics, but defending herself for doing so.
Taylor is a young girl, who can’t understand why her relationships never work out. If she is truly starting to realize just what she’s doing wrong, this may be the start of a refreshing new path to happiness for her. Let’s just wish her the best.

Taylor Swift & Harry Styles Broke Up Because She Is “Too Emotional”, Taylor Wants Him Back!
There are so many reasons why Harry Styles and Taylor Swift may have broken up. However, Ok! magazine says they know the real reason for the split.
A source that spilled their guts to the magazine says that Taylor, 23, was just too “intense” for little Harry, “They had fun, but the pressure was way too much, and Harry couldn’t handle the intense scrutiny. Sure, he’s dated famous women before, but Taylor was on a whole other lever. Harry was being told what to wear and he was under strict instruction to not talk about his girlfriend. Anyone who knows Harry knows that’s impossible!”
Meanwhile, Hollywoodlife.com via Us Weekly is reporting on what caused Taylor to ditch Harry during their tropical holiday vacation last month; “He got drunk and left Taylor on their boat for a few hours without telling her where he was going,” a source tells Us Weekly.” When Harry returned, Taylor was reportedly “crying and furious.” Once Harry returned the fighting began and Taylor “called him a d**k and accused him of running around with girls,” continued the source. “He didn’t do anything wrong!”
Apparently Taylor wanted to show Harry who wore the pants in the relationship by leaving him on the island to teach him a lesson … a plan which blew up in her face; “She wanted to teach Harry a lesson; she expected him to call and apologize,” the source says. “He didn’t.” Since Harry made no attempt to touch base, Taylor began texting Harry apologetic messages like a “madwoman,” but he never responded. Why? “He thinks she’s too emotional.”
Following the split Taylor, who makes a living off writing songs about exes that she thinks are douchier than she is, sent out a tweet which should have Harry’s big hair standing on end; “Back in the studio. Uh oh…” Uh oh indeed.

Harry Styles Dumped Taylor Swift Because She’s A “Prude” Who Wouldn’t Put Out
Harry Styles wasn’t getting enough lovin’ from Taylor Swift, so he dumped her.
“Harry found Taylor a little sexually uninterested,” a source close to Harry told Radaronline.com
“Taylor is so concerned that the public will think she’s a wh*re because she dates around, that she doesn’t put out,” a pal close to Taylor explained. The “friend” continues on to say that Harry’s not the only one not getting it; “What she doesn’t get is that the guys keep dumping her because she’s being a prude.”
Harry’s “pal” says that it was obvious that Taylor had a “thing” for Harry, but she just wouldn’t “put out” as often as he wanted. Since he’s an 18-year-old hormone infused star with options around the world, his relationship with Taylor, who supposedly preferred droning on about antiques over getting nakey for her man, grew boring fast; “Harry is a young boy, with ladies throwing themselves at him and has had a string of relationships with older women. It’s no secret he’s sexually active and is enjoying his fame at the moment. But Taylor just wasn’t up for it as much as he is. They were sexually incompatible.”
Meanwhile, Taylor’s friend, who attributes Taylor’s “prudish” attitude to her desire to remain “wholesome” in the eye of the public- me thinks that ship sailed after John Mayer- says while Taylor’s intentions are to maintain a “clean” image, the singer just doesn’t understand how she’s ruining her own life; “She puts herself in these stupid situations but then honestly can’t understand why she’s getting such a shabby reputation.”
“Harry wants to go out to fancy bars and clubs and enjoy being young – but Taylor’s more of a homebody and all she would talk about was antiques!” the source explained. “It drove him crazy, so he gave her the elbow!”
So while Taylor was “obsessed” with Harry and “over the moon” when he agreed to make their relationship public, Harry, for his part, “was over it before it ever really even began.”
